Healthbox CIC

A new AI-driven app, Camera2Cook has recently been developed with the support of many professionals, including myself. Camera2Cook is an AI-powered recipe app designed to help people make meals using ingredients they already have available. Users can take a photo of ingredients in their kitchen, and the app uses AI to identify them and generate suitable recipe suggestions. I have been involved in the app's nutritional analysis, validation, and resource development to ensure it remains evidence-based. I worked closely with University Professors, Nutritionists, and software developers, to name a few.

This work was carried out during a fixed-term research role at the University of Chester, in collaboration with Healthbox CIC and project partners. I have no financial stake in the marketing, sales, or ongoing commercial success of the app.

NHD Magazine

The UK's leading dietetics magazine since 2005

I regularly write evidence-based articles for this magazine. These articles can be found on my portfolio page or by visiting NHD magazine's website, where there is an array of digital articles and backdated issues. This is paid work.

I was asked to provide expert commentary and attend an interview with Amber Dance, a Science Writer. I provided evidence-based commentary about the evolving gut microbiome tests and what the actual evidence shows currently, plus how this applies to the nutrition and dietetic world. The full article is due to be published soon. No financial interest involved.

If you are developing a product, resource or initiative that would benefit from evidence-based dietetic input, I would love to hear from you.
